Want a Free Makeover? I am looking for a gal/s to be my makeover model for my on stage presentations at each day at the upcoming Love Vintage Fair as part of the Stitches and Craft Fair for Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland NZ shows.  Do you want to be that gal?  You get a complete Vintage Makeover done on stage including hair and makeup and yes I also dress you according to the period.  (You can keep the hair and makeup but will have to return the clothes  HAHAH *Wink*).

**Ideally, (to fit my wardrobe), I need a size 8-10 with size 6-7 shoe with medium length hair.  I can either use the same girl every day or have a different girl every day.  If you are interested and can help out at the following times/places then please email me: [email protected] ASAP.**

Sydney:  Rosehill Gardens Racecource – James Ruse Drive, Rosehill
Times:  11am – 2pm

An overview of what I am doing:

12 Noon –   Experience the transformative potential of old-style glamour on Stage with Miss Chrissy from The Lindy Charm School for Girls   Miss Chrissy will, in under 30 mins, transform her model from a contemporary every day look into a pure and timeless 1940’s Old Hollywood Screen Siren – Sharing her expert tips and tricks live on stage on Vintage Hair and Makeup as well as outfit styling for you.  Chrissy and her team will also be on hand everyday at their Vintage Styling Pop Up Salon offering the same Hair and Makeup makeovers for anyone looking for an instant change from their current look to a 1940s glamour, 50’s cheesecake, Pin Up or retro styled Beauty.   Kids under 15 are free and adults are $35 for Hair and $50 for Hair and Makeup.

1.30pm:  Make Do And Mend and a little Nip and Tuck goes a long way..

Originally our foremothers were very environmentally friendly but for different reasons than we might be today.  Out of necessity, due to rations, lack of resource and materials, they had to make all of their own clothes and make do and mend whereas today we need to be environmentally aware and borrowing from our past will help us save our future.  As a Vintage Stylist, Chrissy encourages the Make Do and Mend motto for  recycling, upcyling, repairing and reinventing your clothes, your wares and your life.  Learn the secret of being a well dressed woman enhancing what you have and embellishing where necessary. Dressing up can be just a matter of nipping and tucking in the right places and adding your own ‘stamp’ or personality to complete the outfit.   You really can Dress Like a Movie Star on Pennies a Day!   Lets Grab those throw-out vintage pieces that cost nickels and dimes and trick them up using your Stitches and craft skills.
