I attended the Newcastle workshop which was run by Miss Chrissy and Miss Sammy at MisKonduct Clothing recently, but had to leave early to drive to Sydney for a work dinner and awards night.
Firstly, I’d like to say that I absolutely loved your workshop! I had wanted to do it for such a long time! I love the vintage hair styles that I learnt, and will practice pin curls and hot roller sets until I master them. In fact, I think the vintage styles suit me better than modern ones! I wish I could have stayed until the end. However, leaving early did result in a little bit of good news. I left early to attend the NSW Young Lawyers Gala Dinner, where their annual Patron Awards are given out. I was nominated for an award, but originally wasn’t going to attend as I wanted to go to your workshop and then an engagement party afterwards. However, I was encouraged by the organisers to attend, as it turns out that I was the winner of the NSW Young Lawyer of the Year award! It was lucky indeed that you had taught me to do my vintage makeup that day, and had kindly done my hair for me before I left, as I had to go up on stage to accept. And as I was wearing a navy vintage reproduction dress bought that day as well, I received so many compliments that night! You were right – when you dress vintage, you do get attention that you otherwise wouldn’t get! Both from men and women as well!
Thank you so much for your wonderful workshop and for being so understanding about me leaving early, and thank you again for helping me by doing my hair for me before I left. Your handiwork was much admired! I love vintage, and I love that you are spreading your love of vintage, and your positive affirmations of women of all types.

I attended your Vintage Styling Class in Adelaide yesterday, and am only just coming down enough to type a little thank-you note! I loved learning all the hair, make-up and wardrobe styling tips from Mistress Chrissy and Sammy- 5 inches of my waist in less than 5 minutes, who would have thought!
As a lady IN my 40’s I wasn’t sure if I was too old to be a lady of the 40’s but thanks to your considerable knowledge and honest feedback, I left feeling like a true startlet. I was able to easily replicate the look this morning with a dolly peg and Betty Bang roll and have had the most wonderful day at work with people stopping to say how great I look. I also loved the little beauty tips which can be applied by any-one regardless of the look they are after.
To those thinking of attending a class- invest in yourself! Not only will you learn new hair and make up skills, but you will also leave with a healthy dose of self confidence and some lovely new friendships.

I want to thank you for the fantastic instruction in creating victory rolls. I have just spent a few weeks helping at the Spotlight Theatre on their show “In The Mood Again”. I couldn’t have kept six wigs in their 40’s style without your wonderful lessons on how to achieve the perfect victory roll. Your workshop was lots of fun and it was great to put into practice what I had learnt.

I’ve been showing a few friends a couple pics that I have from the wedding and everyone is in complete awe of the make up job you did. Even my Dad who’s not normally very observant when it comes to outfits and hair keeps commenting on how great all our hair looked and that it really suited the style! And others who had no idea what we were planning are just blown away by how great the two bridesmaids look with their hair and make up matching their dresses so well.
I might have to look at what workshop you have planned for later in the year, when all the dust settles I think I might treat my mum, as she had such a ball getting ready with you two lovely ladies š

Thank you for your lovely email. I have been meaning to write for some time now , to tell you both how wonderful your workshop here for the Adelaide vintage festival was, however life has been a little hectic to say the least.
I hope that you are both well and had just as much fun as we all did. I have been practicing lots and have sported quite a few lovely hairstyles out and about. I Have also had a fun time ‘playing hair’ with anyone who will let me! A friend from my sewing group is getting married next Saturday and I will be doing her hair for the wedding!!
Your workshop was such a lovely time and I have especially appreciated the extra confidence boost it has given me and the gentle reminder to be graceful in the face of compliments. I cannot wait to attend the next workshop and to see you both again.

Want to thank your lovely ladies from the Love Vintage show! I loved the talks & demonstrations & I spontaneously signed on for the hair & make up package.
Just the pick up I needed the day before my birthday! After sharing photos on Facebook of my experience, I received many compliments including my Aunty who was emotional as my photos reminded her of my grandmother. I have a beautiful photo of my Grandmother in a similar pose & in comparing the two, I never realised how many more similarities we shared that I was unaware of.
I hope I can join one of your workshops next time your ladies are in Sydney.

What a fantastic experience!!! I attended the Lindy Charm School Workshop at the Love Vintage Fair in Sydney last weekend. I had SO much fun š Not only was the workshop fun it was extremely informative. Both Chrissy and Sammy were fab presenters and had done a lot of research into traditional methods of past. They were both professional and charming. Chrissy and Sammy were not happy until you were happy with the outcome.
