All good things must come to an end, and today, we share some truly sad news for vintage lovers, pin-ups, and all those devoted to old-school hairstyling. The beloved setting lotion that has been a staple since 1946 is no longer being manufactured!
For over 25 years, The Lindy Charm School has proudly stocked, used, and sold this pink liquid gold across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. Its reliability, shine, and perfect curl hold have made it an essential for vintage hairstyling, and we know many of you feel the same.
We have around 200 bottles left and once they’re gone, they are gone for good. If you rely on this magic formula, now is the time to stock up (don’t worry, it has a long shelf life!).
Sadly, we don’t have a direct alternative to recommend just yet! everything we’ve tested so far hasn’t quite measured up. But while we say goodbye to this iconic product, we are still here offering workshops, vintage styling, photoshoots, makeovers, and consultations to keep the glamour alive.

HERE :Join us in a beautiful space filled with vintage treasures, clothing, and antiques! This open and active vintage store will provide a unique and cozy atmosphere for our workshop. Enjoy great coffee and food while you learn!
**Workshop Content:**
– **10:00 AM to 11:30 AM (1.5 Hrs):** Learn easy classic looks, the art of pin curling, and create faux vintage looks like Victory Rolls without heated/electrical products.
– **11:30 AM to 1:30 PM (2 Hrs):** Pin curl sets, hot sets, brush outs, updos like “The Poodle,” more Victory Rolls, Pageboys, and Suicide Rolls. Explore the use of snoods, do rags, scarves, and more. We will also work on classic vintage/pin-up makeup, including winged eyeliner, rosy apples, framed eyebrows, and the perfect pout.
My workshops are geared toward the absolute beginner as well as the seasons vintage enthusiast. We start with hair care, pin curls, and creating simple styles without much fuss then we transition into hot sets and brush outs and pinning. It’s a journey and you will definitely take away some new skills to start practicing with. The make up is simple yet striking geared towards a vintage aesthetic to suit the hairstyles and outfits. I started these workshops many years ago as a way for vintage lovers to learn hands on in quick time. The more experienced gals come back as well from time to time as you are always picking up new skills and tricks.
