Keep them protected: Before gardening , it is helpful to insert a little white soap underneath your nails to prevent discolouration. Wear gloves at all times, and after washing, rinse with lemonised water and apply some lemon lotion (you can make this yourself). This is important as the skin on your hands contains fewer oil glands and therefore dries out more readily.
Keep Beauty Aids in your Kitchen: It is a good idea to keep a bottle of lemon lotion in your kitchen as well as in your bathroom. Keep 1/2 a lemon in a saucer, cut side down, in your beauty kit apply it to hands immediately after washing with soap or cleansing powder. This will nuetralise and alkali, remove stains and destroy onion & fish odours.
Keep them manicured: Before your hands have a manicure each week, dip a cotton tip orange stick into a cup of warm lemonised water and clean nails first. Your polish will take better with clean lemonised nails.
Make them up: Don’t think that makeup stops at your face.. It works miracles for your hands and arms too to hide any slight imperfections. Use a powder base (or primer) first then powder as required.
For your Elbows: Just before you don’t see your elbows don’t think they escape the eyes of others. Keep them soft and smooth with lemon lotion. If they are in bad condition, scrub them with warm soapy water and a pumice stone. One beauty authority suggests placing your elbows in two halves of a cut lemon for a few moments each day.
OK, a couple of quick ones that take my fancy:
