Each Year – Gold Coast celebrates the Magic Millions. Magic Millions is Australia’s premier thoroughbred sales company. Each January on the Gold Coast, the company holds its flagship event, the internationally renowned Jeep Magic Millions Carnival, Raceday and Yearling Sale featuring 10 days of fun, fast-paced action on and off the track.
My Good Friend Karen Phillips organises and runs the two major “Off Track” Events each year being the Hats and High Tea Event and the Sparkling Ladies Luncheon. For the Past 3 years Karen has asked The Lindy Charm School to provide an exciting and vibrant fashion parade as part of her enetatinment program. I love how Karen just trusts me to put together each show without question. Creative Freedom is always a great privalege.
For this latest Vintage Fashion Parade I wanted to add some flare so spoke to the delightfully talented Wendy Diggles from Wendy Louise Designs and Belle Follie in Brisbane. A truly talented Milliner and Jewellery designer, I was so excited when Wendy said yes and our collaboration started. I wanted to showcase the 1920’s through the 1970’s so I took up all the vintage frocks and Wendy set about accessorising them with her creations.
The 3rd ingredient to this successful “Salon Parade” was my awesome, gorgeous, funny and talented models who all brought their own personalities and energy to the event – I LOVE YOU GIRLS!! Thanks you to my Sister Veronica Neave, Miss Monique, Miss Sarah, Miss Magdalena, Miss Cindy Lou and Miss Tahlia. Miss Tina Louise was out Backstage Kitten and photographer on the day too. To My Husband Swing-A-Billy Ray who put together the awesome sound tracked perfectly mixed and timed to suit!
