Meet Laraine: Cancer Survivor Sister – empowered by her new makeover!

Meet Laraine: Cancer Survivor Sister who is also a photographer and not used to be behind the camera! Laraine, who had Breast Cancer was the most warm, joyful and bubbly gal who bounced through my salon doors for her makeover and photoshoot with us. Being a Cancer Survivor myself I could totally relate to Laraines point of view on her journey. She said: “I loved my cancer journey, ( not the chemo, radiation or Ops) but the reflection and friendships formed were priceless ! it changed my whole outlook on life…” This is so true.. the people that come in to your life and others that leave your life at what possibly is the most challenging and stressful time in your life is quite amazing and cancer can be so transformative to ones life because of those comings and goings as well as all the other stuff in between and when you survive it, by geeze you grab life by both hands and appreciate it more fully, you love more deeply and you give more freely.. Oh an yes, say YES to everything and enjoy the new journey!

Amanda and I LOVED making over and photographing Laraine.. her joy radiated (no pun intended Laraine!) and she brought smiles to all in the room. She even stayed on to help the other ladies afterwards encouraging them and lending them bits and pieces.
Thank you for trusting us.

Laraines full story and all pictures will go up on my website in the future.
