The art of seduction (Part 3)
Mae West was brash, bawdy and blonde and the queen of one-liners well known for her double entendres. She was named the ‘baby vamp’ by the ripe old age of 14. In 1926 she wrote, produced and directed the Broadway show Sex, which got her arrested for obscenity. In 1932 she signed with Paramount and used her saucy wiles to become very successful. Her sense of humour combined with innuendo was a key part of her attraction and she always had a witty comeback to any man.
Marilyn Monroe is an icon of the 50’s she knew her sensuality was a powerful force. She was a voluptuous size 16, an intelligent woman who played the role of dumb bimbo to perfection. However, she played it so well she became typecast both on and offscreen with this role resulting in great unhappiness, broken relationships and none of the children that she so desperately wanted. Maybe if she had been true to herself, a seductress who had shown her intelligence she would not have suffered depression in later life.
So ….. ladies let your inner seductress free. The best way to behave in life is naturally and, no matter how deep down it is, every woman has a super-vixen somewhere inside her ready to leap out.
’Sex appeal is 50 percent what you’ve got and 50 percent what people think you’ve got’ – – Sophia Loren
