I just finished a marathon session watching Season 1 of The Handmaids Tale on SBS On Demand and then came across this today. Although totally different eras and a stretch to compare It did strike a chord in me with regards to the value of women in American then and now…
On July 1943 Transportation Magazine published “11 Tips on Getting More Efficiency Out of Women Employees”, which were written for male supervisors of women during World War II.
No 3 Is interesting: “Husky Girls” (those who are just a little on the heavier side ) are more even tempered and efficient than their underweight sisters!… Really?
Oh My Goodness… the only one I seem to agree with is point 11: ensure uniforms are a proper fit… keeps a gal happy when she’s comfy in her workwear right?
