Hello Lovely Charm School Followers, I am back from Perth and I made it!!! Now I am and ready to organise Sydney Craft and Quilt Fair. I am in need of volunteer models to help me on each of the days. It’s a bit of fun, easy work and you may even pic up some new little Vintage Styling Tricks. If you are free ANY day from 9am to 12.30pm then please email me: [email protected]. I am looking for ladies with dress sizes 8-12 and NO experience necessary… Here are the details.
I’ve been asked to come back to Sydney for the Craft and quilt Fair again which is great and I thought I would email you all to see if any of you would like to participate again as per last year. It runs Wed 17th June to Sunday 21s, Sydney Exhibition Centre Glebe Island, 41 James Craig Rd Rozelle. Here is my program for stage and workshops BUT I would only need you from say 9am to 12.30 ie: the first two presentations.
Bring your own shoes (Red, Black white or Cream High Heels), pantyhose and if you can do your own hair and makeup that would be good and I can just touch up and fix up if necessary back stage on the day. We are going 1930’s to 1950’s looks.
I can cover your out of pocket expenses, transport & lunch etc plus offer you free entry tickets to give to your friends (I just need their names for the door) plus invite you to be my guest at one of my masterclasses at the show (Optional)
GETTING THERE – IT’S EASY AS 1, 2, 3…
1. FREE ferries from Darling Harbour(10 minute trip) and Circular Quay (30 minute trip)
2. FREE buses from Central Station(25 minute trip)
3. DRIVE, TAXI or PRIVATE CAR drop off at the front door. PARKING at the new venue is plentiful and now cheaper.

You’ll learn new ideas and new takes on old looks to inspire you to feel independently glamorous and individually chic!

STAGE PRESENTATIONS DAILY AT THE FAIR
10am Glamour Retained – Dress Like a Movie Star on Pennies a Day! Learn the secret of being a well dressed woman enhancing what you have and embellishing where necessary. Dressing up can be just a matter of nipping and tucking in the right places and adding your own ‘stamp’ or personality to complete the outfit. Save some of your craft skills to use on you!
12noon Making Do and Mending: Grab those throw-out vintage pieces that cost nickels and dimes and trick them up using your craft and embellishing skills. Learn how a ‘Little Touch of Seasoning Makes the Dish Just Right’ can take you from day to night. A couple of clever changes and you will be ready to party!
2pm Shape Shifters – Shapes through the Decades and the Importance of Undergarments: See how to lose 3 to 4 inches in minutes, find your curves, and put the wiggle back into your walk. Chrissy will also explain the importance of underpinnings and how they relate to posture and ultimate confidence. You’ll be impressed as she shows you quick and easy ways to create a perfect vintage ‘do’ in minutes with not much more than a comb and some sturdy grips.

Masterclass with the Mistress of Vintage Style, Miss Chrissy Keepence
Fancy a little old-school glamour? Let Miss Chrissy show you her make-up techniques and tricks to create the perfect pin-up look – and pick up lots of great tips to use every day. Plus style your hair to create a special ‘do’ influenced by a variety of eras from the 1930s to the 1950s – and learn what styles suit your look. You’ll learn to achieve that primped, preened look!
